Term 4- Patricia Piccinini: "We are Family"

In term 4 we have been looking at expression of different animal’s faces and humans faces. We have looked at this picture and we had to answer a few question about his “We are Family” picture, designed by Patricia Piccinini. We had to answer what this picture is, why would the artist make a world like this and what issues is the artist raising in the this picture.
It took me alone time to figure out what this sculpture was and what it was for, but I had to look up the internet and see what Patricia had made and done. She has made this sculpture into a master piece which is combining natural effects and human effects as well. This picture is a bit disturbing in some places but that main word to describe this is awful. I don’t really like it that much as you can see!

Colour Shades

The shade colour that you add to make a colour lighter is the colour white. To make the colour darker you add black. In my mask I mainly will add white to my cooler colours scheme, because it will make the cooler colours. Light blue and purple are the most common little colours I will put on my mask.

The Colour Scheme

The colour scheme for my mask is an energetic colour at the bottom and it gradually gets cooler. The energetic colours that I used for my mask are yellow, orange and red. The colours at the top of my mask are light blue and purple. My mask contains primary and secondary.

Mask Task. Steps.

In term 2, 3 and 4 we have been collecting pictures of our three favorite animals. Mine as you may know is the Bear, Eagle and the Dog. This term (3) we have been putting our mask together and adding our three favorite to make a very different animal.

The first step: We had a plastic bag and we stuffed it in with news paper and then when we were done we would stick the top together
Second Step: Then we have to form our mask into the shape that we want to make our head
Third Step: This step took mainly the whole of term 2 and term 3. This was paper machining. We paper machining with news paper and we glued it on with glue.
Fourth Step: This step is where we have to cover our mask with white pieces of paper called butchers paper.
Fifth Step: This step is the best part of doing my mask. Will the second best part. We had to put in the texture on what our three animals feel and what the texture is. We used texture past to do this job.
Sixth Step: This step may be the last step but I’m not quite sure if it is. It is the painting part. As you see in my next post you can see the ‘colour wheel.’ This colour wheel is the wheel where some colors blend together and where they are next to each other. This is called analogies.

ANIMOLOGY: What kind of Animal are you?

This task was long time along time ago back in February. I know that I’m far behind but I forgot to put this up. The work that I'm talking about is what kind of animal am I? We had to answer up some questions about what kind of animal you are and the animal that I was is the Ocre and the Gray Dolphin. This task was a very interesting task and its very fun to do. I don’t think that this is very true because it says that the teal cat was not a good friend but in real life she’s really a great friend, so I don’t believe in this. Although it’s very fun.

Second Assignment

The next assignment that we are doing is the one about how we have to put all our animals together and form a complete different animal out of our three animals then we had to out how we describe our three animals put together in three different words. We also have to put two different things about out three animals into the different animals. So there will be eight different things about our animals in this animal

Making our Mask

In term 2, we are starting on making our mask. We had to start on choosing three of our favourite animals and the ones that I did was the bear, eagle and the dog. Then when we had finished choosing our animals we had to make our mask. We started out with a plastic bag then we stuffed some pieces of paper into the plastic bag and we covered it with papier mache. It was very sticky on how we papier-marched it. I think this well take quite a long time doing this because some of the parts of my body on my design are still soft and it has to be hard before we put the white covering on it. This assignment is very easy but it will take a while to finish doing this.

My Assignment Picture 2.

This picture is the second picture that we had to do for our assingment. This is a picture of a man's hands. We think it's a pri- mate's hands. We had to look at the hands and see what we see. I see a pair of hands that are hairy, old and the one hand that's rapped around the other its fingers is thinner then ours. Its hands are made by shape, texture and lines. The way that the hands are placed are very different and I think that's hard to make your hands get like that. The fingers are thin and very old like an older man but it doesn't look like humans hands. It looks like I said before prim-mate hands. When I first saw this I was like what's that? What's so speical about a pair of old, hairy hands anyway? Then I know that there not just a pair of old, hairy pair of hands there more then humans hands!

My Assignment Picture 1.

This picture is for my art assignment which we had to look at it and see what we see in it. Or see what we can see on the leopard and what it means the leopard. The leopard is repesenting BMW's. Its a car advertisemen. If you look closer to the eyes you can see pelican's and the blue eyes they look like crystal balls to me.
This picture grabs your attention because of the beautiful animal. The leopard makes you feel beautiful and it makes you free because of the pelican and it is advertising a car so the car makes you feel free and the leopard is quite fast and the BMW is quite fast as well. This is what we had to write on our assignmnet. I hope you enjoy the animal!

Stuffed Animal

In art this term we have been learning about drawing a stuffed animals. We had to picture the lines of the animal and see not just the shape but the detail in the animals body. It was difficult to make all the lines of the animals body because you didn't have to make it perfect but make it seem really. For example, the fur had to look like it was cute and cuddle so that made it a little bit difficult. But it was fun anyway.

My Favourite Animal, An Eagle

This is my third favourite animal out of all the other animals arounf the world. They might be more animals that I like i can't think of another. This animal is my third favourite animal because it flies and it can see further then another animal on earth. It can catch fish and kill the fish in it's claws. It's an amazing animal that can do anything. There might be more things to this amazing animal that I don't know but I think that's about enought things about the eagle that I can explain about it.

My Favourite Animal, A Dog.

This is my sceond favoutire animal, the dog. This is my second favourite because they are intelligent aniamls, they can help blind people across the roads and help them find away around places. They help poeple in Antartica to pull slides and care things. This is way I love dogs because they are intelligent animals. People that don't like dogs then your wired or maybe you have your reaseon why you don't like them!

My Favourite Animal, A Bear.

This is a picture of a bears face. We need an animals face to do our mask to do. A bear is my first favourite animal. This is because I love the way that they live and how the mother bear protect her little cubs. It is also an animal that can be bad or good in stories, but many people say that bears as a frighting animal that kills and hunts (which is true), but theirs more to this animal then meets the eye!

Man's Face Of Animals!

This is a picture of a man's face filled with 23 or 24 animals. For art we had to name all the animals on the man's face. It was a bit difficult to name all the animals because it was in black and white. But I can see all the animals when it's in colour!
We are going to make a mask out of our 3 favourite animals which is going to be really fun! I'm really looking forward to it!

Igo Stracinsky. By Pablo Picasso. Made in 1920.

This is a picture of Igor Stravinsky. Made in 1920, by Pablo Picasso. We had to do this in art and we had to draw it up side down. We did this last year but this year when I didn't it again I thought I did it better then last year. I thought this was hard to do it up side down but when I finished it a second time it was easier and it was really fun drawing something up side down. Our art teacher told us to try it the right way up but I couldn't because I really looked at the lines more than when I did it up side down then the right way up. The main point of this activity was to look at the lines and see which way to goes and which way everything is formed. I would really recommend you drawing apicture up side down!

Multiple Intellligence Test

This is the Multiple Intellligence Test that I did for Art. The Multiple Intellligence Test is where you take this test about the world and about yourself. It gives you many different questions abdout that sort of things. It teachers you more about you and the world. My stronger strengths is on the People Smart and Music. My weaker strengths is on the Number Smart and the Body Smart. I might be not that good in the Number Smart because I don't really enjoy Maths and it's a bit hard so that's why I might not be that good on the Number Smart.

One of stronger strengths is Music, that might be because I really enjoy music and I like the sbject.

I really enjoyed doing this test and I hope your results is much better then mine!
